Colombia: Wine consumption grows

According to data from the National Statistics Institute in Colombia, 43 million bottles are sold per year, with red wine being the one in greatest demand.

The Ministry of Economy also indicates that the wine market is approximately 300 million euros per year. The capital Bogotá stands out with a consumption of 47 percent, followed by Medellín with 29 percent, the Caribbean Coast with 11 percent, Cali with 6 percent, and Eje Cafetero, Santanderes and Boyacá with 7 percent.
