Brazil: Wine South America reinforces its commitment to sustainability in the wine sector

Wine South America (WSA) is considered one of the most important trade fairs in the Latin American wine sector, which in recent years has expanded its environmental and social initiatives.

The fair is consolidating itself not only as a business and content platform, but also as a foundation for strengthening the responsible development of the sector.

In its last edition, in 2025, WSA welcomed more than 7,000 buyers and exhibiting brands from more than 20 countries worldwide, including Portugal, Italy, Spain, Greece, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and New Zealand. The next edition of WSA will take place from May 12 to 14, 2026. Among the fair's key environmental initiatives, Wine South America has adopted a structured waste management and sustainable logistics policy, ensuring the proper disposal of materials such as glass, cardboard, plastic, wood, aluminum, and polystyrene. At the 2025 edition, all waste generated at the event was recycled or reused, preventing the emission of approximately 26 tons of CO₂. Furthermore, the graphic materials and banners used at the fair underwent reverse logistics processes, being donated for reuse in social projects, thus reducing waste and extending their lifespan.
