Campari H1 sales up 2.7% as it divests brands

Campari Group reported net sales of €1.51 billion (US$1.73bn) for the first half of 2026, marking organic growth of 2.7% compared with the same period last year.

Adjusted EBIT came in at €358 million (US$410m). In the second quarter alone, organic sales grew 2.5% to €869m, following 2.9% growth in the first quarter. CEO Simon Hunt attributed the results to the company's strategy of making "fewer, bigger bets" — divesting non-core brands while investing in its priority portfolio. On the back of these results, the group raised its full-year guidance and now expects organic topline growth of around 3%, helped by a softer-than-expected impact from US tariffs.

At the brand level, House of Aperitifs, which accounts for 49% of total sales, performed particularly well, growing 4% organically and led by Aperol (+3.3%) and Campari (+2.3%). House of Agave, representing 10% of sales, grew 6.9%, driven by Espolòn Tequila's 8.2% increase. House of Cognac and Champagne, at 8% of sales, rose 4.6%, with Courvoisier standing out at +6%. Performance was weaker in House of Whiskey and Rum, which makes up 12% of group sales and declined 6%, largely due to challenges facing Wild Turkey in the US market.

Regionally, Europe, which accounts for nearly half of group sales, grew 1.9%, while North America, at 36% of sales, rose 2.6%. Developing markets such as Brazil and Argentina saw particularly strong growth of 9.1%.

Alongside these results, Campari continued restructuring its brand portfolio. It plans to sell Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac and Cabo Wabo Tequila to Dublin-based Cobblestone Brands, with the deal expected to close by the end of October. The group also intends to sell its rhum agricole business in Martinique, Bellonnie et Bourdillon Successeurs, to a French private buyer. Together, the two transactions are valued at an estimated €30 million and are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
