Germany: GEA earns Top Employer certification in Asia Pacific, now certified in 21 countries

GEA is now certified as a Top Employer in 21 countries across four continents. With eleven new certifications in the Asia-Pacific region, the company meets the requirements for the Top Employers Institute’s regional APAC seal for the first time, in addition to the Europe seal it already holds.

Just a year ago, GEA was certified as a Top Employer in only one country in the Asia-Pacific region. Today, the certification also covers Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam, giving GEA the APAC regional seal for the first time. The new countries add to the certifications held since early 2026 in Belgium, China, Germany, Italy, Colombia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Spain. A first-time certification in Türkiye completes the picture.

“Asia Pacific is one of GEA’s most strategically important growth markets. Anyone who wants to succeed there in the long term needs the best talent. Top Employer certification in a total of twelve APAC countries is a clear signal to our employees and to the market: GEA invests in people – and can prove it,” said Dr. Nadine Sterley, Chief People & Sustainability Officer at GEA.

For the certification, the Top Employers Institute analyzes HR practices in areas including leadership, working conditions and professional development. The Institute evaluates a comprehensive, structured questionnaire, reviews supporting evidence and conducts audit interviews with the companies.

GEA supports employee development through offerings from the GEA Academy, which reached almost 18,000 employees in 2025. These include the Open Mentoring program with 350 active tandems and leadership development programs for 300 employees. The company aims to anchor Top Employer certification in further countries.
