Five innovations received the Inter-national FoodTec Award in gold, while sixteen were awarded silver medals. The winning companies from eight European countries impressively underscore the industry’s innova-tive strength and technological capabilities. With the International FoodTec Award, the DLG, together with its partners, recognizes ground-breaking developments in food and beverage technology that stand out for their innovation, sus-tainability, and efficiency. An international jury of experts - comprising specialists from research and academia as well as industry representatives - has once again selected and honored the most advanced developments from a large number of entries through an intensive and technically rig-orous selection process. The award, presented every three years, is given as gold and silver med-als.
Gold medals recognize products and services featuring new technological concepts whose ap-plication enables a new process or significantly improves existing ones. Silver medals are awarded to existing products that have undergone technical enhancements resulting in a signifi-cant improvement in their current function or the existing process.
