Cassidy Wines brings nearly 50 years of experience in the Irish wine trade, along with established customer relationships and a portfolio of well-known international brand partners. The deal comes as Ireland's sparkling wine market has grown at an annual rate of 6% over the past decade, according to IWSR data. Combined with Henkell Freixenet's international portfolio and global reach, the partnership is intended to give customers and suppliers access to a wider range of products and stronger distribution across the Republic of Ireland. Cassidy Wines will keep operating from its bonded warehouse in Citywest.
Henkell Freixenet CEO Dr. Andreas Brokemper pointed to Cassidy Wines' strong market position and long-standing trade relationships as a good complement to his company's international reach. Cassidy Wines Managing Director Neil Cassidy said the move gives customers access to a broader portfolio while keeping the team and service they already know.
