The decision reflects growing confidence in Hong Kong’s role as Asia’s leading wine and spirits trading hub. According to Vinexposium, the city’s strategic location, duty-free wine imports, established logistics infrastructure, and close proximity to mainland China make it the ideal base for the event.
Industry representatives have also welcomed the move, noting that Hong Kong continues to attract more buyers from mainland China and offers lower operating costs for exhibitors than Singapore. Many producers had viewed the Singapore edition as a temporary solution during the pandemic rather than a long-term replacement.
By establishing Vinexpo Asia as a permanent annual event in Hong Kong, Vinexposium aims to provide exhibitors and visitors with greater planning certainty while strengthening commercial opportunities across the Asian wine and spirits market.
