The Brewery of the Year titles once again went to Brauerei Kundmüller (Germany) in the national category and Stiegl Brewery (Austria) in the international category. Both breweries successfully defended their 2025 titles, with 15 beers each earning a place in the Finest Beer Selection.
The National Beer of the Year award was presented for the second consecutive year to Aventinus Eisbock from Schneider Weisse, which received 98 out of 100 points. The International Beer of the Year title also went to a beer scoring 98 points: Barrel Aged United Stout from Japan’s Sakaikashi Brewery. Both winners were honoured with the newly introduced Weyermann Award.
The 2026 edition also marked the first evaluation of beer-mix beverages. The highest-rated product in this category was Schützengarten Ginger Beer Alcohol-Free from Switzerland with 94 points. Alcohol-free beers continued to gain importance, accounting for more than 10% of all entries. The top-rated alcohol-free beer was Störtebeker Wild Coast-Ale Alcohol-Free, which achieved 96 points.
