FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace 2025 debuts in Garda Trentino

From October 28 to 29, 2025, Riva del Garda will host the international wine tourism industry. After four successful editions in Spain, the FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace Italy will take place in Italy for the first time, with Garda Trentino as the host region.

In autumn 2025, Garda Trentino will become the focus of international attention with the debut of the FINE Wine Tourism Marketplace Italy. The B2B trade fair will bring together around 70 wineries from across Italy to present their wine tourism offerings. The event will be held at the Riva del Garda Congress Center and complemented by professional conferences, networking sessions, and training formats. The fair is organized by Riva Fiere e Congressi in cooperation with the Spanish organizer Feira Valladolid.

Special attention will be given to the host region itself. In a dedicated Trentino section, producers such as Azienda Agricola Fratelli Pisoni, Agraria, Mezzacorona, Maso Salim, Cantina Toblino, and Madonna delle Vittorie will showcase their wines and experiences. The emphasis is on authenticity, regional culture, and nature-based encounters rather than large-scale tourism.

The distinctiveness of Garda Trentino lies in the combination of geographical and climatic conditions. Nestled between the Alps and Lake Garda, with regular thermal winds, the region has developed a unique microclimate well-suited for a wide variety of grape varieties. Typical wines include the indigenous Nosiola, also used for the sweet Vino Santo, as well as Rebo and Reboro, a passito-style red wine comparable to Amarone. These wines reflect long-standing traditions and embody the cultural identity of the region.

Unlike many established wine tourism destinations, Garda Trentino is characterized by a network of smaller producers, whose vineyards extend from the lakeshore through the Valle dei Laghi to higher elevations. Visitors can experience this through guided walks, cellar tours, and tastings. Signature events include “Reboro – Territorio & Passione” in October, which in 2025 will highlight a partnership with the Chianti region. In spring, the “DiVinNosiola” event celebrates the Vino Santo Trentino DOC with tastings, cultural activities, and public events during the pressing season.

A further initiative aimed at sustainable tourism is currently being prepared: the Wine&Go shuttle bus. On Saturdays in October, it will connect Riva del Garda with Arco and provide convenient access to selected wineries, supporting both small producers and environmentally responsible travel.
