The agreement, reached with the US fund H.I.G. Capital, anticipates the closing of the transaction by the end of January 2026. With this acquisition, Grupo Licores de Guatemala strengthens its presence in Europe, adding a brand of high strategic value to its portfolio. With more than seventy years of experience, the group has a solid industrial and commercial structure. Among its most recognized brands are Ron Zacapa, with a presence in more than 100 countries, as well as Ron Botrán, Ron Venado, Gin Xibal, Quezalteca, Trenzuda, Mizata, and Petrov.
