Latest Data from the Alcohol Industry 2025

With the current brochure “Data from the Alcohol Industry 2025,” recently published by the Federal Association of the German Spirits Industry and Importers (BSI), there is now a comprehensive annual resource covering key data, figures, and facts.

The brochure examines not only the domestic market but also parts of Europe, providing up-to-date information on per capita consumption and fiscal developments across various EU countries.

“We have long known that looking only at the domestic market is no longer sufficient to fully assess the market situation. We embrace the European perspective and understand the many international interconnections and influences that affect all our members. That is why, for many years, we have given our brochure a more international focus,” explains Angelika Wiesgen-Pick, Managing Director of BSI.

As usual, the association compiles all relevant figures in the annually published brochure – from the number and size of companies, to market shares of different categories, to the industry’s advertising expenditures. Also included is the so-called “Spirits Hit Parade,” which provides a quick overview of sales and revenue across different categories in the retail sector – from Aquavit to Whisky/Whiskey.

“Our goal and responsibility is to provide our members and the broader public with a well-founded understanding of the spirits industry. This includes not only forecasts and emotional highlights but, above all, clearly presented facts. With the publication of our brochure ‘Data from the Alcohol Industry 2025,’ we fulfill this important role of the association, promoting insight, transparency, and information exchange,” emphasizes Wiesgen-Pick.

The free brochure can be ordered via email at info(a)bsi-bonn.de or downloaded directly from the BSI website.
