Mexico: Tequila Patrón to Expand Plant in Atotonilco el Alto

The company has invested over 180 million euro in Jalisco since 2001 and created 3,800 jobs; it announced an operational modernization plan.

With a 14 euro million investment, Tequila Patrón inaugurated the expansion of its facilities in the municipality of Atotonilco el Alto.

Since 2001, Tequila Patrón's total investment in the state has exceeded €150 million, generating 1,800 direct and 2,000 indirect jobs through the construction of a distillery, aging cellars, and infrastructure to ensure regulatory compliance in the vinasse treatment system and agave cultivation.

The new investments will be made in various areas, including regulatory compliance due to changes in the process water law, as well as improvements to the treatment system. In addition, the bottling operations and efficiency of the Patrón brand distilleries will be modernized, while for the Cazadores brand, investment will be made in modernizing operational efficiency.
