New CO₂ footprint measurement for tanks

Companies are increasingly required to operate sustainably. They disclose their carbon footprints and demonstrate how they aim to reduce emissions. With a new tool, Ziemann Holvrieka now records environmentally relevant data, enabling brewery operators to document the CO₂ footprint of their new tanks.

“We want to support our customers in identifying emissions, achieving their net-zero goals across the supply chain, and communicating their progress,” explains Rebecca Hooper, Group Sustainability Manager at CIMC Liquid Process Technologies (CLPT), the parent company of Ziemann Holvrieka.

The tool enables a comprehensive analysis—from raw material emissions and production processes to transport—allowing for a consistent CO₂ calculation. Ziemann Holvrieka then provides the values in the form of a certificate, which can be used for sustainability audits.

“This new tank tool fits perfectly with our sustainability strategy, which we drive forward with innovative ideas, technologies and measurable solutions,” says Klaus Gehrig, CEO of Ziemann Holvrieka. “By 2030, we aim to generate half of our revenue with CO₂-reducing solutions—and reach 100 percent by 2040.”
