Nigeria: Sidel Opens New Lagos Office to Boost Sustainable Packaging in West Africa

Sidel, a global provider of packaging solutions, has opened a new office in Phoenix, Ikeja, Lagos, to strengthen its presence in West Africa. The office will serve as a regional hub for project management, engineering, customer service, and client support, covering Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and neighboring markets.

“West Africa is a dynamic and promising market,” said Clive Smith, Executive VP for Asia, Oceania, and Africa. “This office allows us to respond faster and provide tailored PET, can, and glass solutions for local consumers.”

The Lagos location is Sidel’s third in Africa, alongside offices in South Africa and Nairobi, reflecting its long-term commitment to local partnerships, talent development, and sustainable growth. The office also focuses on developing on-site engineering and service expertise, supporting customers and creating jobs.

Sidel has a strong track record in the region, including high-speed PET plants in Nigeria and Ghana and Africa’s first Sidel Matrix™ system for Coca-Cola SABCO in South Africa.
