At the centre of the year was drinktec 2025 in Munich. With more than 58,000 visitors from 164 countries and 1,107 exhibitors from 70 countries, the event once again served as a key meeting point for the global beverage and liquid food industry. Exhibitors and visitors used the platform to discuss investment projects, technological developments and future-oriented solutions across the entire value chain, from raw materials and ingredients to logistics and marketing.
“With its broad offering across the entire value chain, drinktec is the only global one-stop platform for the beverage and liquid food industry,” said Rolf Keller, Managing Director of YONTEX GmbH & Co. KG. “Only here is the full spectrum of relevant international suppliers represented in one place, which was once again clearly demonstrated in 2025.”
In addition to drinktec, YONTEX organised drinktec India in Mumbai and expanded its international portfolio with two new activities in 2025: participation in EATS in Chicago, focused on process technology for the North American food and beverage industry, and cooperation with the German Winegrowers’ Association at the International DWV Congress in Mainz.
Since its foundation in 2023, YONTEX has positioned its portfolio around established and emerging markets in Europe, China, India and North America. According to the company, this strategy reflects continued growth potential in the global beverage and liquid food sector and the need for regionally adapted event formats.
Looking ahead, Keller sees digitalisation and data-driven technologies as key factors for future industry development. “The beverage and liquid food industry is highly diverse, ranging from global players to medium-sized producers. This requires a wide variety of technological solutions,” he said. “In particular, opportunities are emerging through the use of machine learning and AI, for example in consumption forecasting as well as in production and logistics optimisation.”
drinktec India, held in November 2025 in Mumbai, recorded more than 20,000 visitors and around 200 exhibitors across more than 15,000 square metres of exhibition space. Presented for the first time under the drinktec India brand, the event continued the development of the former drink technology India format and highlighted the growing importance of the Indian market for international technology partnerships.
YONTEX has already confirmed dates for its upcoming events. CHINA BREW CHINA BEVERAGE will take place in Shanghai from 12 to 15 October 2026, followed by drinktec India in Mumbai from 28 to 30 October 2026. BrauBeviale is scheduled for 10 to 12 November 2026 in Nuremberg, while the next edition of EATS in Chicago is planned for 26 to 28 October 2027.
