According to data from the Ministry of Agriculture at the end of March, exports for the 2025/26 season totaled 390,000 tons of malting barley, a 34% increase compared to 2024, and 2,400,000 tons of feed barley, a 20% increase compared to 2024. Regarding barley malt, export declarations for the 2025/26 season totaled 148,000 tons. The estimated planted area for the 2025/26 season reached 1,200,000 hectares. Significant export activity was observed, particularly for feed barley, with Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries as the main destinations.
