Belgium: Kersia Opens Food Safety Excellence Centre

Kersia has opened its new Centre for Food Safety Excellence (CFSE) in Seneffe, Belgium, strengthening its global capabilities in food safety innovation for the food and beverage industries.

The 1,000-square-metre facility combines R&D laboratories, industrial pilot systems and training spaces to support the development and validation of hygiene and biosafety solutions under real-life operating conditions.

“The CFSE is first and foremost a place for work and experimentation,” said Benoît Duculot. “It allows us to test our solutions under conditions close to industrial reality and train both our teams and customers in food safety best practices.”

The centre will support Kersia’s operations in more than 140 countries and serve as an international hub for collaboration with customers, industrial partners and academic institutions.

Sébastien Bossard said the new site will help the company anticipate future food safety challenges and accelerate innovation worldwide.

The building was designed to high environmental standards and is targeting BREEAM “Very Good” certification.

Kersia employs more than 3,100 people worldwide and generates annual revenue of €665 million.
