China: Anuga Select China 2026 reinforces South China’s role as a global F&B hub

Anuga Select China 2026 concluded its fifth edition on April 29, 2026, at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Futian), further strengthening its position as a leading international platform for the global food and beverage industry.

The event brought together 10,732 trade visitors, buyers and decision-makers from 69 countries and regions, alongside 628 exhibitors from 32 countries, covering the full F&B value chain from raw materials to consumer-ready products. International participation was further reinforced by numerous country pavilions and institutional exhibitors, reflecting continued strong global interest in the Chinese market.

A key focus of the exhibition was business development through targeted matchmaking, with 183 qualified buyers and structured sourcing sessions facilitating concrete commercial outcomes across retail, e-commerce, import and foodservice channels.

The programme also highlighted innovation and industry transformation through dedicated forums, awards, live cooking formats and the Anuga Select China FoodTec Showcase, which featured advances in production technology, packaging, automation and supply chain optimisation.

Organisers emphasised the growing importance of South China and the Greater Bay Area as a strategic gateway for the global food and beverage sector, driven by evolving consumer demand, rising international trade flows and strong regional industry development.

The next edition is planned for 2027, with an increased focus on international participation, technology-driven solutions and enhanced matchmaking formats.
