Brazil: Ambev Inaugurates a mega Glass Factory in Paraná

Ambev reaffirmed its commitment to driving and developing the growth of the brewing industry in Brazil by inaugurating its new glass bottle factory in Carambeí, Paraná.

This marks the first glass bottle factory in the state, strengthening the company's position in one of the country's most important production chains and playing a key role in increasing production capacity for the fastest-growing beer segments: premium and non-alcoholic beers. This portfolio includes brands such as Stella Artois, Spaten, Corona, and Original.

With an investment of 150 million euros, the Paraná facility becomes the company's first operation in Brazil to integrate all phases of production, resulting in greater efficiency.

“Beer is a national passion, and it’s important to us that our entire value chain grows. This investment marks a milestone in our history and represents our commitment to strengthening the sector, the economy, and the country,” stated the CEO of Ambev.

Equipped to produce 600 million bottles per year in various sizes and formats for the states of Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Ceará, and Paraná itself.

Initially, production will consist of green glass bottles used in the brewing of Stella Artois, in its regular and Pure Gold versions, and Spaten pure malt. The factory is also prepared to produce bottles in the future for brands such as Corona and Original, which will have Flint (clear) and amber bottles, respectively, as well as non-alcoholic versions like Corona Zero and Bud Zero.
