According to data from the National Statistics Institute (INEGI), cachaça production in 2024 was 290 million liters (up 29.58 %) compared to the previous year.
In Southeast Brazil, there are currently 760 establishments producing 180 million liters. In the Northeast, there are 190 establishments producing 60 million liters (up 23 %), in the South, 100 establishments producing 30 million liters, and finally in the Midwest/North, there are 220 establishments producing 21 million liters.
Cachaça represents 86 % of the Brazilian spirits market. In 2024, exports were 6.9 million liters (down 23 %).
