Germany: BarthHaas launches campaign on non-alcoholic beer

BarthHaas has launched a new campaign dedicated to non-alcoholic beer, reflecting the strong global growth of the category and the increasing demand for high-quality alcohol-free brewing solutions.

At the centre of the campaign are two white papers focusing on flavour optimisation and dealcoholisation technologies. The first publication, now available, addresses challenges such as balance, aroma and mouthfeel in low- and non-alcoholic beers.

“We provide brewing know-how, sensory tools and dedicated hop solutions to deliver precisely what is often missing in non-alcoholic brewing,” said Dr Christina Schönberger, Product and Education Expert at BarthHaas.

According to the company, consumer expectations for non-alcoholic beer continue to rise, creating new technical demands for breweries. “Non-alcoholic beers can taste sweet or unfinished. Without ethanol, bitterness, sweetness and aroma can quickly become unbalanced,” Schönberger explained.

As part of the campaign, BarthHaas will also host a webinar on flavour and stability in non-alcoholic beer on June 11.
