Heineken increases its beer production

From 2020 to 2021 the brewery dedicated itself to expanding its capacity with a new production line. Heineken Mexico allocated an investment of €32 million.

In the Toluca Brewery, Heineken currently has seven production lines in total, that manufacture some of its emblematic brands such as: Tecate, Heineken, Bohemia, Amstel and Dos Equis.

The total capacity of the seven production lines is 7.5 million hectoliters per year, in four types of formats ranging from the quarter-liter bottle to the 30-liter barrel. Although the production volume per plant is confidential data, the brewery managed to increase that figure by 12% thanks to the new line.

The biggest difference in this plant is the use of technology, considering that most of the investment was allocated to the digitalization of processes of the new production line.

One of the aspects that stands out with Heineken Mexico is that the Toluca Brewery is the company's only plant in the country, which is directed by a woman.
