Mexico: The country is the fourth-largest beer producer worldwide

According to the new statement released by the Latin American Brewers Association, the beer industry represents 1.3 percent of the region's GDP. In Latin America, this industry generates 3.9 million jobs and has established itself as a cultural expression in the region. With more than a century of history, beer has evolved alongside those who produce it, adapting to social and cultural changes.

According to the Mexican Brewers Association, Mexico is the fourth-largest beer producer worldwide, with 7.2 percent of global volume, behind only China, the United States, and Brazil. In Mexico, beer is part of the national identity and daily life.

“For Mexicans, beer is much more than a beverage: it is part of our roots and an authentic way of life. At Heineken Mexico, we are proud to be part of this history, with a legacy of more than 135 years driving innovations that transform the industry and allow us to deliver moments of joy to inspire a better world,” said Claudia de la Vega, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Heineken Mexico.
