Paraguay: Beer consumption remains stable in Paraguay

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics for January 2026, beer consumption in Paraguay remains the undisputed leader in the alcoholic beverage sector.

Per capita consumption averaged 70 liters per person.

Brahma began 2026 as the most consumed and remembered brand by Paraguayans, having regained its market leadership.

Currently, there is sustained growth in demand for craft beers and microbreweries, especially among younger consumers.

The retail sector (supermarkets and traditional channels) reported sales growth of up to 7 % at the beginning of the year, boosted by stable inflation in alcoholic beverage prices.
