Peru: Ball Corporation will open an aluminum can plant in Peru

Based on the growing demand for aluminum cans globally, Ball Corporation announced that it will expand its operations in South America, landing in Peru with a new production plant located in the city of Chilca.

The operation will have a production capacity of more than 1,000 million beverage cans per year and will begin operations at the end of 2023.

The announced investment will allow the company to better meet the growing demand for aluminum containers in Peru and neighboring countries. In an area of ​​95,000 square meters, Ball's operation will employ more than 100 people directly and 300 indirectly, thanks to the investment allocated to the manufacture of aluminum cans in different sizes.

"We are happy to announce the opening of a new plant in Peru, a country that has been registering a considerable increase in the consumption of beverages in cans in recent years," said the Commercial Vice President of the Beverage Packaging Division for America in the statement.

"Through this investment, we will be able to respond to the market in a more solid way and be closer to our customers in the country, always with the most sustainable alternative in the beverage industry," he added.
