Peru: Pisco exports increase, but overall sales decrease

According to the report from the Wine Industry Committee of the National Society of Industries (SNI), it indicates that while Peruvian pisco exports have registered growth in both value (+6 percent) and volume (+10.7 percent), during the first four months of 2025, overall sales have decreased by 8.2 percent compared to the same period last year.

Sales amounted to approximately 1,600,000 liters. The secretary of the SNI's Wine Committee, Carlos Mejía, stated in the statement that, from 2023 to the present, pisco sales have been declining by an average of 8percent annually, and exports reached 591,000 liters. Regarding prices, the average was EURO 7 per liter, while in the same period last year it was EURO 7.4. The main export destinations between January and June 2025 were the United States (39 percent), Spain (12 percent), the Netherlands (12 percent), Belgium (7 percent), and Japan (6 percent). The report notes that the United States' share has declined, while that of the Netherlands, Belgium, and France has shown sustained growth.
