The exhibition will cover about 100,000 square metres across seven halls. Nearly 1,000 international exhibitors are expected to participate, accounting for more than 30 percent of all companies and representing a 41 percent increase compared with the previous edition. Poland will participate as Country of Honour.
To support business opportunities, the organisers, together with ICEX Spain Export and Investment, have invited around 1,500 international buyers from 100 countries and 1,200 domestic buyers, with more than 14,500 business meetings planned.
The show will feature several specialised sectors including Intercarn, Organic Foods, Grocery Foods, Coffee, Bakery & Pastry, Interlact, Lands of Spain and Fine Foods. Intercarn will once again be the largest section with around 350 companies.
Innovation will be highlighted at The Alimentaria Hub, where more than 200 experts will discuss topics such as sustainability, digitalisation and changing consumer habits. More than 300 product innovations will be presented at Innoval, while around 60 companies will participate in the Food & Hospitality Startups area.
The HORECA and foodservice sector will also play a central role, occupying more than 20,000 square metres and featuring around 600 companies and numerous activities for hospitality professionals. The event is supported by several industry organisations, including FIAB and AECOC.
