In total, Starbucks plans to open 145 new stores across the region over the next year, strengthening its position in the region.
“Latin America and the Caribbean are a central part of Starbucks’ story: not only as the origin of much of our coffee, but also as one of our most dynamic regions for retail growth. Our continued expansion reflects both our confidence in the region’s future and our commitment to creating jobs and business opportunities,” said Ricardo Arias-Nath, senior vice president and president of Starbucks Latin America and the Caribbean.
Starbucks and its 10 license partners currently operate more than 1,800 stores in 26 markets across Latin America and the Caribbean, with recent openings in Honduras, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Guyana.
