He will be responsible for the company’s global sales strategy and the international market expansion of its patented digital heating systems. The company is also continuing to expand its location in Schwäbisch Hall.

Urich brings more than 20 years of packaging industry experience. He began his career in software engineering and project management at OPTIMA packaging group and went on to hold various national and international leadership roles in sales and business development. As sales director international, he led the internationalization, scaling and professionalization of the sales organization, building global sales structures and opening new markets. Previously, as director new technology, he oversaw the development of new business areas and the commercial launch of innovative technologies.

“In Mr. Urich, we are gaining a proven expert in international sales and business development within the packaging industry,” said Marcus Stein, CEO of watttron GmbH. “His track record in expanding international markets, professionalizing sales organizations and successfully commercializing sophisticated technological solutions will be vital to advancing our growth strategy.”

Urich will make his first official appearance for watttron at PACK EXPO International in Chicago. Together with the team, he will present the latest applications of the company’s digital pixel heating technology and meet international brand owners, packaging manufacturers and technology partners.

“The combination of technological excellence, sustainability and clear customer value immediately convinced me,” Urich said. He highlighted the integrated Sealing Quality Control, which provides real-time quality feedback during the sealing process. “I look forward to working with the team to expand our global market presence and support customers worldwide in implementing innovative, sustainable packaging solutions.”

watttron’s digital heating technology enables precise thermal control, significantly reduces material and energy consumption, and opens up new possibilities for advanced packaging designs and demanding sealing applications.
